The Talne Trio presents a unique interpretation of klezmer music. Their repertoire is derived from “almost lost” manuscripts that stem from the late 19th century, popular jewish instrumental music recorded in the mid-20th century, and originals written and arranged by the trio in the last few years.
Kim Goldov – (Violin, mandolin, shtroyfidl) has performed with the Radost Folk Ensemble, Freylakh Klezmer Band, Yeni Ses (Turkish traditional and modern folk), and the Bucharest Drinking Team.
Mark Lutwak – (Piano, accordion) leads The Klein Party, and plays with the Casalini Trio and the Luz Bones. He has a checkered past with other musical groups, educational media, and the theatre.
Aaron Harmonson (bass) has performed/recorded/engineered/co-produced alongside artists that include Sierra Ferrell, Robert Sarazin Blake, Louis Ledford, Vicki Peterson (The Bangles), John Convertino (Calexico, Neko Case), Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam), Levon Henry (Allen Tousaint, Michelle Ndegeocello), Lori Goldston, Medearis Dixon (Kendrick Lamar), Ari Joshua, Petunia and the Vipers, Jimmy James (True Loves), Country Dave and the Pickin’ Crew, Eric McConnell (Loretta Lynn, Jack White), Randy Weeks, Von Wildenhaus, and Evening Bell.
